The 80 years of the Long-Thibaud Competition<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Long-Thibaud Foundation has just announced the opening of the next Competition which will be dedicated to the piano from November 7th to 13th 2022.<\/p>\n

The preliminary rounds will take place at the Salle Cortot, from November 7th to November 9th. The semi-finals will take place on Thursday, November 10th at the Salle Cortot (free programme) and the finals with the Orchestre Symphonique de la Garde R\u00e9publicaine, conducted by Fran\u00e7ois Boulanger, on Sunday, November 13th, at Ch\u00e2telet.<\/p>\n

The Long-Thibaud Competition has long been one of the most prestigious piano and violin competitions in the world.<\/p>\n

Our ambition, announced by the new president of the Foundation, is to “renew with this prestigious past”. The Long-Thibaud Competition will establish: “a new philosophy where there will be no borders, but a seamless dialogue between the jury and the candidates so that they give the best of themselves, revealing the great pianists of the XXIst century, such is the ambition of the upcoming competition”, said G\u00e9rard Bekerman, president of the Long-Thibaud Foundation.<\/p>\n

The Jury will include internationally renowned artists including Philippe Entremont, Marc Laforet, Fran\u00e7ois- Ren\u00e9 D\u00fbchable, Momo Kodama, Rena Sherechevskaya, Bruno Leonardo Gelber, Plamena Mangova, Janos Balazs, Pavlev Gililov, Jorge-Luis Prats and Eric Heidsieck.<\/p>\n

95,000 euros in prizes will be awarded as well as performance dates at some twenty festivals reserved for the winner.<\/p>\n

Radio Classique and France T\u00e9l\u00e9vision are partners of the Long-Thibaud Competition which, out of 112 applications received from 41 countries all over the world, has selected 32 candidates.<\/p>\n
